Professionally, I worked for the state of South Dakota, located in Pierre, SD, for twenty-seven years, in various departments, most recently the department of Economic Development and Tourism. In 2008, I relocated to Rapid City, SD, and worked for InterTribal Bison Cooperative and, later, for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Black Hills. Most of my experience has been in office administrative support services.
Now I am a freelance writer and copy writer with experience working for small businesses and non-profits. I have one published travel article (see home page).
Personally, I am a wife, proud mother of three grown daughters, grandmother of 11 grandchildren, and last, but definitely not the least, devoted to my personal relationship with God.
For fun, I love scenic drives. I love dancing around my living room (with the shades pulled, of course), hiking and exploring a new trail (as long as it's easy to moderate), visiting my daughters and their children (which makes me a grandmother), catching up with old friends, going on picture taking excursions either alone or with someone special who appreciates God's spectacular canvas, reading a good book (usually "THE GOOD BOOK") while nestled in my bed snug as a bug, soaking in a tub full of fragrant bubbles, hot summer nights, star gazing, and experimenting with a new recipe while sampling the wine, of course), decorating our home to make it a warm, cozy place to visit.
